Design Features

The G-type balance tank is used for pressurizing, storing, and cooling the sealing liquid in a double-face mechanical seal. By introducing nitrogen through the pressurization port, the pressure inside the balance tank is maintained slightly higher than the maximum pressure of the medium inside the vessel by 0.05 to 0.1 MPa, ensuring the proper operation of the mechanical seal. The GDL balance tank can be combined with a magnetic drive pump to form the B circulation system. It is important to select a sealing liquid with slightly lower viscosity; otherwise, the circulation flow may be too small, leading to overload of the small motor.
(Note: During commissioning, it is essential to pressurize the balance tank first, and ensure that its pressure is higher than the vessel pressure before starting, otherwise, it will damage the mechanical seal.)

The GD-type balance tank is an upgraded version of the GC-type balance tank, which includes a cooling coil for water cooling. The choice of balance tank capacity is related to the shaft diameter and operating temperature.
